Nursing PJ's and Robes

As my pregnancy progresses, I realize it might be time to start thinking more about nursing clothes than maternity clothes and I've focused on nursing pj's thinking those are what I will wear most the first couple of weeks. It will be raining here and cold - apartments here are not well heated or insulated so it gets cold even though it doesn't actually often go below 50 degrees.

Anyway...

Japanese Weekend makes some nice looking nursing pj's, like these -

A lot of the other ones I've seen are short sleeved or sleevless, so if we go that route, how about a comfy new robe? For some reason that really sounds like a lovely thing to buy myself -

So then middle of the night feedings, or morning or afternoon feedings for that matter, a little more comfortable. Who needs to change when you can throw a comfy new and cute robe on over the pj's and  then it's ok if there are tons of people around also. I wouldn't recommend staying in Pj's for too long, but for a couple of weeks...it's bound to happen.

One of my favorite maternity clothes sources is having what they are calling a flash sale this week. Each day offering a diminishing percentage discount. Today (Friday) it's 35% off, tomorrow it's 32% and Sunday it's 29%. Any of those make these gorgeous clothes a very good deal. I LOVE my purchases and I'm still coveting this top -

Of course you could always buy the changing pad and wet bag and just add everything to the oversize purse you already carry. Or get a diaper clutch to keep everything together and compact and stick it in your big bag.

The New Loafer

Flipping through last month's Bazaar I saw a little blurb about loafers. All of a sudden I thought back to those Bass shoes I wore in Middle school, they look just like the loafers that were in the magazine that are $400. Turns out, the Bass loafers are still the same, and around $50. That sounds great for a comfortable shoe that also passes for fashion.

I am desperate for some new comfortable cute shoes. I always walk alot, but let's face it, I'm now carrying some extra weight AND my feet are swollen (being almost 30 weeks pregnant will do that to a woman) so I decided it was time to look around.I saw these adorable Puma's on Endless, and I really like them.

I've been trying hard to resist buying any baby clothes yet, but I think I might have to cave thanks to these absolutely adorable little onesies from Old Navy. I know they are totally targeting my generation when they slap Superman and Star Wars onto such a cute tiny little piece of clothing.

I really love both the top and the coat, as I've feeling more and more like a beached whale it seems even more important that I love what I'm wearing so I feel good about myself. Even better, they design their clothes so that they are wearable for the "4th trimester" after the baby is on the outside. I like the idea of clothes that not only work for a few months after the baby is born, but are definitely so well made, they will last to another pregnancy.
