ready for the beach

As the weather warms I'm planning to start Nate in swim lessons, I would love it if he felt comfortable in a pool or even the lake with me come summer. But I'm also concerned about the sun. A Zany Hat that just might stay on!

I have posted hats for kids and babies, it feels like lots of them, but most of them are no match for our little one who will rip it off if it isn't crazy glued to him. My sister suggested a balaklava but I hadn't looked for one and then I saw these from Hanna Andersson -

People complain a lot about the Gap, but the baby clothes are just so adorable, and I'll say it again, the maternity clothes got me through my pregnancy. These days I'm wearing Gap tees since who knows what I will be getting on my clothes each day.

I don't buy a lot of clothes for Nate, I'm really lucky that we have had a constant stream of hand-me-downs from a friend and our cousin whose twin boys are a year older. Nate grandmother's and my sister also really enjoy shopping for him. But sometimes something is just so cute I can't leave it alone, like this outfit I just ordered for fall-

I think I've posted those jeans before, but I love them! For a lot of families it just isn't worth spending much on baby clothes, but Nate is so skinny that he actually wears his clothes for quite a while so I don't mind buying something like this once in a while. Plus, with the sale price it's not so bad.

"big boy" clothes

I don't want all the moms of boys to feel left out after yesterdays post. I hate walking into a baby store and only seeing cute things for girls. Boys get cute clothes too! Take this shirt for instance -

I call these kinds of baby clothes Nate's "big boy" clothes. I think its the lack of snaps for diaper access that make the jeans look like adult clothes,  and I don't find that it's so much harder to change a diaper this way. Thoughts?

Adorable little dresses

I am so in love with the adorable tiny little dresses at baby Gap these days, I can't get over how sweet they are! I just want to buy them all and give them out as gifts since I know it's not 'the best' idea to horde them for myself hoping our next kid will be a girl (although believe me I was tempted)... some of my favorites -

There are a couple of tops that they don't make in smaller than 2T sizes (or at least I couldn't find it for babies) that I LOVE -

How cute are all of those? And with all their sales and special offers they become very affordable.
