Fugly or not?

I need waterproof, warm winter boots. They need to be tall, after last years snowmageddon I’m not taking any chances. I just can’t bring myself to get uggs, these Sorels look so warm and waterproof, but are they better than uggs?

Am I being blinded by the warmth? Does it really matter?
